RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROGRAM DIRECTOR AT SSMC

• Organizational-wide efforts around developing, implementing and enhancing conceptual models that drive professional nursing practice at SSMC.
• Interprets the impact of organizational change and develops change strategies for successful implementation.
• Develop objectives and manage operational initiatives with measurable outcomes in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
• Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes, engaging staff in the process.
• Develop a plan to ensure compliance and maintenance with Magnet® requirements and annual reports.
•  Participates in research activities as appropriate and uses research findings in the development of policies, and guidelines; and shares research activities with others.
• Incorporates the use of evidence-based practice into program development and improvement activities and maintains statistical information and reports.
• Remains up-to-date on best practices and incorporates them into Magnet and Nursing Excellence practices and programs.
• Oversees and works with teams for audit recommendations and is accountable for audit results and improvements
• Facilitates reporting of incidents occurring within the organization by proper coordination and facilitating corrective action taken.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• 12 years of clinical experience post-qualification as a Program Director
• Create awareness of regulatory requirements and monitor compliance.
• Reports incidents as appropriate that affect patient and staff safety.
