Accountabilities of Medical Lab Technologist at American Hospital

• Utilizing appropriate testing equipment to collect, receive labeling and analyze samples or substances.
• Managing all aspects of working in the lab, including staff scheduling and safety procedures such as quality control monitoring, tracking statistics communication.
• Evaluate out-of stock, forecast the demand for next items and order promptly to ensure safe delivery.
• Planning and conducting laboratory tests according to standard test methods, recording observations and interpreting results.
• Performs routine laboratory tests according to departmental guidelines.
• Informs physicians of important or urgent results.
• Works with nurses and physicians to ensure patient readiness for testing and proper specimen processing.
• Organizes tasks to complete workload efficiently and productively.
• Provide a positive work environment, encourage everyone in the lab to be active and productive
• Helps to gather monthly statistics, performance metrics, and workload data.
• Assists department supervisors in the evaluation, validation and definition of methods

Education

• BSc in Medical Laboratory technology or realeted
• Master’s is prefferble

Experience

• 3 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technologist
• Current/valid DHA license or letter of eligibility.
