Mediclinic presently has a job opening for the role of EHS Officer with a Bachelor’s degree in Environment or health and 5 years of experience at Corporate Office Publishing Pavillion, 5th, 6th & 7th Floor, next to City Centre Me’aisem, Dubai Production City, Dubai, UAE. In this job, you are responsible for supporting management to ensure that dedicated facilities comply with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations with applicable laws and regulations. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS OF EHS OFFICER AT MEDICLINIC CORPORATE OFFICE

  • Effective coordination and collaboration with different departments and management regarding environmental health, safety and sustainability strategy programs
  • Plans implementation within the assigned facilities.
  • Monitors Environment, and health safety system performance, and reports monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Participate in the awareness and educational initiatives, events rolled out by the corporate Environment, health and safety department.
  • Conduct planned and random inspections.
  • Investigate EHS incidents and identify root causes to support setting Preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Participate in preparation of external regulatory inspections and audits, and JCI accreditation.
  • Overlook EHS system compliance with EHS legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review OSHE Risk Registers, Emergency and Disaster management plans, procedures, and drills /exercises for the assigned facilities.
  • Other responsibilities as per Job description and as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • For the job of EHS Officer, Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Health and Safety or Occupational health and safety, or equivalent with certified qualification attested by MOHESR
  • Must have certification in BCSP- OSH or NASP or NEBOSH or IOSH or OSHA or NASP etc. and Associate member IIRSM or an international equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Environmental, health and safety systems development, and ISO 14001, 45001 implementation, and maintenance.
  • Must be an expert in risk management, incident investigation, emergency and disaster management, and auditing/inspection and execution of Environmental, health and safety systems.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • EHS-related laws and regulations
  • Healthcare regulatory requirements on EHS standards and policies
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations and JCI standards
