KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS OF BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN IN MEDICLINIC AL NOOR HOSPITAL

• Perform scheduled maintenance and performance assurance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions
• Ensure that clinical equipment are always at peak efficiency and remains available for providing healthcare services
• Reports to the Biomedical Engineering Department Head exceptional delays or issues that impact the availability of services to the clinical departments.
• Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements
• Participate in the technical evaluation of proposed equipment for procurement and make comparison of quality between product to product as required.
• Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to assist UHS attain and maintain international accreditation standards.
• Participates in commissioning assigned areas and associated Clinical areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies, including end-user training
• Repair and replace biomedical equipment and systems
• Install and adjust a variety of biomedical and research equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and act as first-level support for biomedical queries

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• A relevant associate degree in biomedical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years experience as a Biomedical Technician
