Responsibilities of Financial Counselling Officer at SSMC

Utilizes standard communication channels to process and assess approval requests.
Make sure all necessary documents are complete and accurate, including the initial approval forms.
Ensure that your documents are in order and sent to those who need access.
Create reports that contain the necessary cost information for senior management to review and review.
Determine and monitor health insurance benefits, terms and conditions by calling and using eligible systems and the Internet.
Assist and keep in touch with patients, checking their insurance benefits and offering alternative solutions.
Examine patient financial statements and ensure all procedures are in order.
Support and accreditation of Guaranteed Letters Of Payment (GOP); store a copy of the letter, including consenting to treatment
Visits patients in various parts of the hospital, including the emergency room and other areas, to discuss their patient responsibility, payment options, and financial assistance.
