RESPONSIBILITIES OF ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY IN AMERICAN HOSPITAL

  • Provides mailroom service as designated.
  • Collects and distributes official mail.
  • Maintains housekeeping store/laundry inventory.
  • Maintains accounts of medical and general waste and laundry washing charges.
  • Stocks office supplies as needed.
  • Records work promptly and files accordingly.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Uses initiative to produce work of a high standard.
  • Anticipates the needs of superiors and plans effectively.
  • Assists in the development of housekeeping standards and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides housekeeping reception and telephone service.
  • Periodically rotates into the other services’ secretarial support areas to be updated on all aspects of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrates a full range of secretarial and clerical skills
  • 3 years of experience
  • Computer literate/familiar with word processing packages (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet and email systems)
  • Fluent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate easily with other nationalities
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) Standards
