NMC is looking for the role of Specialist ENT with Graduation from an approved medical school and 3 years of experience at Royal Hospital Plot # 598/122, Dubai Investments Park 1, Behind Falcon House, Dubai, UAE. The selected candidate is responsible for providing consultation to other physicians when the problems fall into the field of ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery, and require the attention of a specialist.  This includes diagnosis and treatment if the patient’s primary problem is in this field. RESPONSIBILITIES OF SPECIALIST ENT AT NMC ROYAL HOSPITAL

• To conduct assessment & re-assessment for all patients in the OPD, on admission, and before any procedure.
• Completes medical records promptly indicating diagnosis, treatment, and future courses of action. Records must conform to established requirements.
• Participates in all group conferences requiring the viewpoint and opinions of this speciality regarding difficult medical cases.
• Collaborates with other departmental personnel in planning programs integrating total patient care’s curative and preventive aspects.
• Is responsible for the operation of approved curative-preventive programs relative to his particular field.
• Daily answers questions concerning irregular work and problems that arise in the group such as handling technical, safety and accident problems.
• Monitors work of other assigned staff to the Otorhinolaryngology Service for quality, quantity, correctness, etc., demonstrating procedures or recommending additional training as required.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in in-service activities as requested.
• Contact HOD for clarification or to keep him informed of unusual situations or problems encountered and actions taken.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information and administrative matters of a confidential nature.
• Evidence of dependability in carrying out the commitments and obligations of the position.
  Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
• Develops a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for them.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department.
• To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations and Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• For the job of Specialist ENT, Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency; certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or its equivalent).
• At least three (3) years of practice as an Otolaryngologist since certification with two (2) or more years as a licensed specialist.
• Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of the Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
• Must be highly skilled in the particular field of practice, with mature clinical judgment and the ability to provide professional leadership
• Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice as a consultant ENT in Dubai, UAE.
• Communication, and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, and patients.
