Air Arabia is looking for a Security Guard with High School or Diploma and 2 year of experience at A1 Building Sharjah Freight Center, Sharjah International Airport, UAE. The selected candidate is accountable to protect the company’s property, assets and personnel by maintaining a secure environment. The Salary offered by the Company is 1500-2000 AED. Responsibilities of Security Guard at Air Arabia
- Acts lawfully in direct defence of life and company’s property by maintaining a safe and secure environment in accordance with supervisor’s instructions and company’s policies and procedures.
- Patrols randomly or regularly company premises and perimeter (gates, doors, windows, parking, etc.) to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security.
- Monitors and controls access of employees, visitors and vehicles at building entrances, accommodation and vehicle gates to guard against theft or malpractice.
- Reports in detail any suspicious incidents or unusual occurrences.
- Takes accurate note of any findings or irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or suspicious objects.
- Initiate calls to police or fire department in cases of emergency such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Warns persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
- Monitors alarm systems and/or CCTV cameras at designated areas and operates detecting/emergency equipment.
- Inspects and adjusts security systems, equipment and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
- Monitors and adjusts controls that regulates building systems, such as air conditioning furnace or boilers.
- Handles telephone calls to take messages, answer queries and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
- Escorts individuals to specific locations/destinations as required by the management.
- Executes any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
- High School or Diploma in any stream is acceptable.
- 2 years of Security Guard experience in any security company in any industry would be an advantage.
- Related trainings such as Emergency Response Compatibility and First Aid are considered a plus.
- License in security PSBD: Private Security Business Department is a plus.
- Demonstrates confident personality and positive attitude all times.
- Well groomed and organized.
- Dynamic and physically fit for the job, requires frequent movement.
- Capable of operating office machines and computer when needed.
- Good English Language (written and spoken: should be able to write an incident report).
- Fluency in Arabic language is a plus
