Responsibilities

Our Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services – Defence business currently provides asset management, facilities management and large range of support to ADF site across Australia. We have an opportunity for an experienced Plumber to join the team. You will be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager and working alongside our highly capable internal trades team, and Service Delivery Partners. Your role as a Plumber will see you based at Shoalhaven, Nowra Hill site, delivering maintenance services to the various asset buildings in the Shoalhaven region. Your primary day to day responsibilities will include responding to reactive maintenance, with a focus on improving the longevity of fixed plant and Hydraulics and assisting (where required) with preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Australian Citizen – Mandatory, Australian Baseline Clearance – Desirable
  • Trade qualified and licenced plumber with a solid background in facilities maintenance would be advantageous.
  • Be qualified to sign off on statutory requirements such as TMV and Backflow devices.
  • Gas license preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively, work autonomously and willing to offer support and assistance to other trades and apprentices
  • Have resilience, a ‘can-do’ attitude and be adaptable.
  • Adhere to a Zero Harm culture – ensuring safety is always your priority.
  • Ability to work some overtime/weekend work as required and be on call for emergencies
  • Currently licenced or willing to complete training for confined spaces, working at height, EWP
  • Prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including police background check, pre-employment medical and to obtain and maintain a Working with Vulnerable People check.
  • Ability to work some on-call and overtime for which you will receive additional penalties & allowances
