KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS OF NURSE MATERNITY IN MEDICLINIC NOOR HOSPITAL

• Deliver quality patient care in collaboration with the multi-professional team according to set clinical standards and relevant legislation
• Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks by clinical risk policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Provide culturally appropriate patient focused nursing care.
• Applies the international patient safety goals throughout the patients’ journey and care process.
• Respect patients and apply patient family rights throughout the patient’s care, with empathy and emotional stability.
• Take active responsibility for positive patient experiences by creating a conducive environment as guided by nursing leadership
• Create and contribute to a learning environment that builds employee competence by actively supervising, mentoring and coaching learners and nursing employees
• Demonstrates an understanding of the physiology of labour.
• Identifies high-risk pregnancies and notify doctors.
• Encourages participation of family members in the birth to support the mother and enhance both mother/baby bonding and family relationships.
• Demonstrates competency in the skills needed to support the woman during childbirth.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• valid BLS and NRP certificate

EXPERIENCE

• Essential: At least two years in your own country as a Nurse Maternity
• Desired: Three years of recent Maternity nursing experience handling antenatal and postnatal cases
• Desired: UAE experience would be beneficial
