Charge Midwife in SKMC Ajman is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the maternity care team, ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to all patients.

Responsibilities of Charge Midwife in SKMC

• Provide leadership and direction to the maternity care team
• Ensure the highest standard of care is provided to all patients
• Oversee the management of labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
• Provide education and support to patients and families
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the
  administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring/life support equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care and maintain accurate records
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Charge Midwife
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) License / Registration: 
• Valid DHA License / Eligibility Letter
