Responsibilities of Lactation Consultant at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital

• Monitor and revise essential success metrics to ensure compliance with Baby-Friendly Hospital Program guidelines.
• Develop and utilize beneficial rules for breastfeeding women.
• Plan and coordinate activities to educate patients and their families on important topics.
• Create and update useful materials about breastfeeding to help people learn more about it.
• Monitor and encourage mothers to breastfeed as effectively
• Participate in community initiatives to enhance people’s understanding of significant local issues.
• Be professional and make sure everyone knows how to use the tools and materials needed for breastfeeding

Qualification

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an approved Nursing institution.
• A Master’s in Midwifery will be an advantage
• IBCLC certification

Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Lactation Consultant

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of Health care during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and psychosocial conditions.
