Responsibilities of Area Manager at Etihad Airways

• Establish and develop strong partnerships with service providers, aprons, GSA, business teams and airport management.
• Manage and establish optimal procedures to optimize flight operations while evaluating processes to enhance service quality, reduce delays, discrepancies, and disruptions.
• Responsible for service delivery in the assigned area through contracting and performance measurement. Identify development goals with local teams and external service providers.
• Use tools to measure how well flights and resources are performing overall.
• Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to show what the business needs and wants.
• Work with authorities and government groups to ensure smooth movement of EC cargo in compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Take charge of investigating every cargo security event in your location.
• Ensure root cause analysis is performed and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Provide support to Regional Goods and Premium Elite teams.
• Participate. in customer activities. visits to major stations in your area.
• Specify opportunities to improve freight services to customers.

Education

• Minimum High School Education, University degree desirable.
• 4 years of experience as an Area Manager
• Knowledge of monetary regulations for the transportation of goods at network stations.
• Thorough knowledge of Cargo iQ, industry standards and legislation. Specifically
• Knowledge of 777F cargo aircraft.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high computer skills, strategic planning and project management.
