About the role
We are looking for a Technical Wool Handler (wool classer) to join the team in at our Ravenhall site on a permanent, full-time basis.
Join our team in the wool re handle section, where you’ll play a vital role in the efficient preparation and classing of wool bales. In this position, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of our bulk class re handle processes. An understanding of AWEX ID and wool typing will be highly advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Using your wool classing skills you will be working in our wool re handle section
- Working with bulk class bales
- Ensure bales are labelled, recorded and branded accurately to ensure minimal errors
- Adjusts over and under-weight bales as required
- Work collaboratively with other members
- Additional wool store duties are part of this role to help deliver team outcomes
About you
To thrive in this role, you will have
- Forklift license essential
- Drivers license essential
- Highly skilled working with both merino and crossbred wool
- Have a good knowledge of and experience in wool classing
- Have completed a wool classing certificate
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Working in a wool re handle desirable but not essential to improve our output quality
- Posses excellent communication skills
- The ability to learn and adapt in a team environment
- Safe work ethics
