Responsibilities of Respiratory Therapist at SSMC

• Handles tasks independently using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor material shortages, notify superiors or supervisors immediately, and order additional equipment.
• Helps physicians and the code team during cardiac or respiratory arrest cases.
• Provides advanced emergency respiratory support according to approved protocols.
• Performs or assists with pulmonary and sleep diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Examines and promptly informs superior staff or supervisors of material insufficient, arrange plugins if needed.
• Works with physicians to develop and adjust treatment plans and goals for cardiac and pulmonary patients.
• Ensure the training, development and onboarding of new staff by providing support and guide to students assigned to this role.
• Training sessions for specialist staff and other healthcare providers, including teaching, orientation, peer review, and case studies on equipment safety. Research and clinical presentations.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in respiratory therapy
• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
