About the role

We are looking for a Plant Operator, (internally known as Support Officer – Field), to join the Sunfam team on a Casual basis.

This is a dynamic role that will see you operating heavy machinery and working in field to install irrigation systems for our clients. Working with our field teams, you will be the face of the Sunfam team – providing excellent customer service while safely operating a variety of heavy machines including excavators, Tractors, and Trenchers.

Responsibilities

• As a Labourer/Plant operator, you will:
• Assist the infield team to install irrigation systems on client sites including pouring concrete, installing and assembling pumps
• Safely and accurately operate variety of heavy machinery including Excavators, Tractors, Trenchers
• Ensure all machines and equipment are in good working order and all defects are reported immediately
• Follow health and safety procedures and detect and report hazards and risks in the workplace

About you

• To succeed at Sunfam, you have:
• Previous experience operating a variety of heavy machinery
• Current drivers license and reliable transport
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team, ensuring the safety of others
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
