American Hospital is currently seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Nurse WE with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 3 years of experience at 19th St Oud Metha, Dubai, UAE. In This job, you are responsible for providing direct patient care and coordinating patient care-related activities using the scientific process of nursing. Nursing care is given to paediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. The Salary offered by the Company is 2500-3500 AED. Both Males and females can apply. This job ID number is 2021.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF NURSE WE AT AMERICAN HOSPITAL
- Works with doctors to perform treatments on patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Monitors the patient’s health and general body condition and reports changes and improvements to the doctor.
- Takes pain prescriptions from the doctors and administers same to the patients.
- Prepares a pain management schedule for patients based on doctors’ prescriptions to prevent patients from suffering from pain.
- Monitors and attends to any signs of negative reactions to drugs and allergies.
- Educates patients on steps to take to manage pain and how to avoid post-surgical infections.
- Manages patient’s hygiene by assisting with bedpan changes, body cleaning and diaper changes in some cases.
- Helps patients improve mobility and functionality by helping them redesign their personal spaces
- Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care.
- Demonstrates organizational skills as team leader / in-charge nurse.
- Participates in staff meetings and unit committees/projects.
- Demonstrates cooperation, coordination and respect among individuals/departments to provide excellent customer service (internal and external).
- Demonstrates cooperation and respect with the nursing supervisor and provides support in bed management.
- Participates in inventory and lost charges count as well as store organization.
- Participates in monthly environmental rounds.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (minimum of three (3) years full-time course duration) or
Degree in Nursing (minimum two (2) years course duration) and Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia - At least two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of and ability to render care and services based on age, appropriateness and developmental needs of patients
- Skills in assessment of patient and family’s physical and psychological need
