Key Responsibilities of Medical Coder at NMC Specialty Hospital
- Provide information on production requirements to the shipping team based on the data generated by the applications.
- Every month, create a production Excel and document the daily production volume for each employee.
- Verify the claim with the correct name of the recipient and the payer before issuing an invoice.
- Create a new folder in the common folder every month to track repair information for each centre.
- Keep a list of claims made before finalization against final reports.
- Send final monthly report to Recon team.
- Update an Excel document with more information about the insurance company protocol guidelines.
- Share insurance company updates with all members of the mission team.
- Ensure that the upload team is attentive and scrutinizes any errors users make.
- Monitor uploads by the upload team and check for technical and medical errors
Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree is required for a Medical Coder
- Preferably with a Medical background
Experience
- 2 years of experience
Skills and knowledge
- Medical coding systems knowledge (ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS)
- Knowledge of medical terminologies
- problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in english
