Informatic Nurse in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

Informatic Nurse in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is accountable to collaborates and partners with CCAD leaders and key stakeholders in identifying and implementing innovative models and best practices within clinical informatics.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF INFORMATIC NURSE IN CLEVELAND CLINIC

  • Provides facility vision, leadership and technical advice related to clinical applications, process and workflow design, data management and related processes.
  • Provides strategic and tactical leadership to manage the impact of changes on clinical applications on the delivery of patient care and member services, including escalating change requests, planning upgrades, facilitating planned downtime, communicating changes to end users and leadership, and translating impacts and training needs to Nurse Education for training purposes.
  • Advocates use of clinical applications and directs development and implementation of changes to EPIC to improve quality, care experience, and efficiency across the continuum of care.
  • Manages clinical applications to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction w/ emphasis on customer service and highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Develops plans and implementation for new and revised information systems, ensures communication among employees, and facilitates adherence to established programs and policies
  • Coordinates and facilitates on-going clinical application evaluation including: user accuracy, data integrity, and system reliability.
  • Develops and implements action plans as needed to support user accuracy, data integrity and system reliability.
  • Participates in change evaluation and supports users in maintaining changed processes. Participates in the process of seeking methods for improvement of patient care and controlling costs for rendering care through the use of information technology.
  • Serves as a liaison between operations and other teams to communicate and facilitate system modification to meet user needs.
  • Serves as a nursing informatics resource to individuals and teams throughout the facility.
  • Identifies and resolves workflow issues through analysing workflows, rounding on units, and conducting ad-hoc training, and ensuring appropriate utilization of clinical applications.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, IT or healthcare related field is required & essential
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or IT is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of informatics experience as a Informatic Nurse
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in allied health management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in clinical research & evidence implementation.
  • Designing EPIC interactions and workflows

Certification and Licensure

  • Valid and current national license & EPIC certification Preferred.

Job Specific Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational, collaboration and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and/or make presentations to a large, diverse audience
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, EPIC required
