• The team prepares tissue samples by following correct procedures for preservation, including processing, freezing, and embedding as required by the procedure.
• The team sections tissue samples using effective microtomy techniques on microtomes to generate slides of acceptable quality for staining, following the established procedures.
• We maintain competence and constantly update our skills to adapt to technological advancements.
• Stains tissue for Routine, Special Stains, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Enzyme Histochemistry as requested.
• The supervisor, pathology staff, and other technicians develop and institute new stains as needed by working in conjunction.
• Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures.
• Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirements
• Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
  Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
• Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports
• Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
• Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs.
  Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems

• For the job of Histopathology Technologist B.Sc. in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent is required
• Not less than two year of Medical Laboratory experience
