About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and safety-conscious Welder/Fabricator to join our Sunfam team.
Primarily working and fabricating in the workshop, you will have the task of welding, fabricating and assembling pipework and irrigation equipment prior to being delivered to our client’s properties. This is a fast-paced role, suited to candidates with experience using a variety of welding techniques and willing to perform duties in the workshop and travel, as required, to site to assist with the installation of irrigation systems.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Interpreting technical drawings where available, and take or read measurements, to plan layout and procedures for pipework and irrigation systems
- Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Repairing machinery by welding where necessary
- Maintaining all plant, machinery and equipment
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications.
About you:
- To succeed as a Welder at Sunfam, you have:
- Proven experience as a welder, using Mig, Stick, or Tig welders
- Current motor vehicle drivers’ licence
- The ability to work as a team player within a dynamic and continuously changing work environment
- Enjoy practical and manual work. Ability to lift, push or pull heavy objects.
- Possess a technical aptitude with the ability to follow detailed instructions
