Field Operator job in ASR Group, USA

ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar. The company produces a full line of grocery, industrial, food service and specialty sweetener products. Across North America, ASR Group owns and operates six sugar refineries, located in Louisiana, New York, California, Maryland, Canada and Mexico. In the European Union, the company owns and operates sugar refineries in England, Portugal.

The purpose of the role is to safely operate the plant within the Refining Area ensuring qualitative and quantitative production targets are met in a compliant manner.

What will you be doing:

• Ensuring compliance is maintained towards all aspects.
• To be aware of, and operate processing plant to the required safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards liaising with process team.
• To utilize knowledge and experience to solve problems as they occur, using judgement to call for more expert assistance as required.
• To undertake Quality control analysis as appropriate and compare results against the specified process parameters. To adjust plant and processing conditions when appropriate to ensure specification conformity is maintained.
• To maintain clear and concise communications (verbal, written and electronic), in the form of shift logs together with safety, environment, quality and hygiene records.
